Ecogenica heat pump fault-code guide

Ecogenica’s FRE/FREC, FR/FRC and W families have distinct controller evidence, including one public table that cannot yet pass literal-text verification.

Evidence reviewed . 10 of 47 registered Ecogenica models currently have an evidence-backed code mapping.

Keep the Ecogenica suffix intact

Locate the appliance data or rating plate and copy the complete Ecogenica model string. The FRE/FREC manual identifies EG-215, EG-290 and EG-330 split families plus EG-260FR and EG-260FRC all-in-one units, while the W publication names EG-260RW and EG-300RW. Suffixes such as FRE, FREC, FR, FRC and RW are controller evidence, not decorative characters. The warranty text says the manufacture date is stated on the data plate when an installation date is unavailable, so a clear photograph also preserves information that may matter during a claim.

The March 2024 owner’s manual documents split FRE/FREC operation and, later in the same publication, the FR/FRC all-in-one controller. Their alarm tables occupy different sections because the physical arrangements and controller material differ. The W Series has its own 260/300 owner’s manual and a separate display table. When gathering evidence, photograph the whole controller so operating icons and the code remain visible, then pair it with the plate. Do not select a family from the Ecogenica logo alone; the suffix on the appliance decides which controller description belongs to it.

Text-backed alarms and a scanned W table

The captured FRE/FREC document exposes literal text for the split alarm table on PDF page 19 and the FR/FRC all-in-one table on page 32. Those rows can be anchored and independently checked. The W Series alarm table is visible on page 16, but its rows are raster imagery rather than extractable PDF text in the captured file. This project retains the W candidates while withholding them from public code pages because the literal quote requirement cannot be met. A visible table is useful research evidence, yet it is not enough for automatic publication under the current audit rule.

FRE/FREC, FR/FRC and RW are not aliases

The official scope creates three evidence groups: FRE/FREC split systems, FR/FRC all-in-one systems, and the later RW W Series. The first two share a publication but use different alarm locations; the third uses a separate manual whose code rows currently fail text anchoring. Registry entries with other visually similar suffixes are not mapped by string resemblance. This is particularly important for Ecogenica because capacity numbers recur across families. A model beginning EG-260 can still belong to a different controller namespace depending on the remaining characters, so always retain the full plate value during lookup.

Use Ecogenica’s service and warranty channels

Ecogenica maintains a current service-team page and a separate product-warranty page with heat-pump registration and warranty material. The captured FRE/FREC terms direct warranty enquiries to Ecogenica and say proof of purchase and the certificate of compliance may be requested before authorised work begins. They also distinguish approved warranty costs from work that has not been pre-approved. Prepare the model and manufacture information from the plate, installation records, a controller photograph, and the exact observed alarm. Ask the service team to confirm the applicable terms for that suffix and installation rather than relying on a general brochure promise.

Ecogenica’s publication boundary is visible

For Ecogenica, “public” does not mean “publishable without qualification.” The captured manuals publicly reveal named model families, owner controls, warranty conditions, and three alarm tables. Only the FRE/FREC and FR/FRC rows currently have machine-verifiable literal anchors, while the W table remains quarantined despite being visible to a human reader. No captured source establishes codes for every Ecogenica register entry, undocumented controller revisions, or suffix variants outside the stated scope. The guide therefore reports both the useful evidence and the gap, giving owners a support route without presenting an unverified transcription as settled fact.
