Source-led owner guide
Rinnai heat pump fault-code guide
Rinnai publishes several Australian heat-pump fault guides, but Enviroflo, Hotflo, split and commercial interfaces remain distinct code families.
Evidence reviewed . 26 of 66 registered Rinnai models currently have an evidence-backed code mapping.
Rinnai model identity may be on an external or internal data plate
Rinnai’s current hot-water FAQ tells owners to look for product information on the unit’s data plate and notes that, on some product lines, the information may be inside the appliance and require a licensed technician to confirm it. Do not remove a cover to chase a number. Use accessible paperwork, the external tank or heat-pump label, and Customer Service when necessary. Record the full EHPA, EHPG, EHPS, EHPT, KSHP or CHP identifier because those prefixes select different guides. A generic “Enviroflo” label is not enough to distinguish integrated, split, A, AR/GR or commercial controller behavior.

Rinnai faults can be numeric displays or flashing remote codes
Most sourced Rinnai families report a letter-number value on a controller display, including Enviroflo 215/265, A, AR/GR, S 7.0kW, Hotflo Plus and commercial CHP equipment. The Enviroflo S 5.0kW manual is different: it documents flashing indications on its remote controller. This distinction affects how evidence is recorded. For a display, photograph the characters and nearby icons; for the S5 remote, capture the flashing sequence with video or count it carefully. Never translate a blink count into a display code unless the exact S5 manual makes that relationship.

Seven captured Rinnai guides define the public namespaces
Rinnai’s Australian library supplies separate captured sources for Enviroflo S 5.0kW, S 7.0kW, AR/GR, A Series, 215L/265L, Hotflo Plus 250L and commercial CHP020/CHP040. Together they contain a broad set of actual fault rows, but this site excludes values expressly marked reserved and commercial maintenance-only alarms whose source says operation is unaffected. Each result stays attached to its guide and exact model mapping. Select the family from the plate before entering the code, since a value reused across two Rinnai displays may still carry source-specific meaning or severity.

Enviroflo is a portfolio, not one controller
The sourced model groups reveal meaningful divisions: KSHP S5 and S7 split systems, EHPA and EHPG AR/GR integrated units, EHPT A Series, EHPS 215/265, EHPG Hotflo Plus, and commercial CHP models. Rinnai’s official GR family page names EHPG265VM and points that family to the same AR/GR guide, supporting one compatible mapping beyond the exact identifiers in the captured error document. That narrow official connection does not merge the other families. Prefixes, capacities, H variants and controller presentation all remain part of the model evidence, while unsupported registry models receive no nearest-name inference.

Rinnai provides a direct assessment booking route
Rinnai’s online service page books service, repair and warranty assessment and asks owners first to consult the product manual, troubleshooting guide or installer. Its warranty-information page publishes separate booklets for the different Enviroflo and Hotflo heat-pump families, so use the booklet matching the plate rather than a portfolio-level summary. Prepare the model, serial, purchase and installation evidence, exact displayed or flashing indication, and installer details. The booking page also explains that a visit can be chargeable when the product is operating to specification or the problem lies elsewhere in the installed system.

Rinnai’s public depth still has model boundaries
Rinnai has the widest public heat-pump error library in this project: seven current official guides, two S-Series operation manuals, a live troubleshooting page, family-specific warranty booklets and direct service booking are accessible without a login. That abundance is not a reason to flatten the data. Reserved values, non-fault maintenance statuses, unlisted models and unmatched controller generations remain outside public result pages. The guide’s value lies in showing how to choose among the sources. Proprietary service procedures and unsupported model equivalence are not made public simply because another Rinnai family has a detailed table.
