Heat Pump Fault Finder AU

What changed at the unit?

Heat pump has no power or display: act safely

A black screen is not proof that the cabinet is electrically dead. Leave the switchboard and covers as they are, note whether any segment or light remains visible, and treat a breaker that trips again as an urgent electrical warning.

Observed symptom ≠ diagnosed fault

What this can tell you

A blank screen does not prove the equipment is de-energised

A black LCD, missing indicator light or silent fan is an external symptom only. The system or parts of the installation may still be electrically live, so never open a cover, touch wiring, use a test instrument or assume the cabinet is safe to approach.

A tripped breaker that trips again is a fixed red flag, not a prompt for repeated resetting. Preserve the switchboard and controller state for a licensed electrician or official support team to assess.

Four checks, then a route

Choose a clear next step

  1. Are there sparks, burning smell, exposed wiring or a repeatedly tripping breaker?

Stop, keep clear and follow the urgent electrical or emergency route in the safety panel.

  2. Is any code, symbol or partial message still visible?

Copy what can be seen without touching controls and enter it in the embedded search.

  3. Can the exact brand and model be identified from information already available?

Use the brand directory to reach official support without opening or electrically testing the unit.

  4. Is the display still blank with no documented support route?

Request licensed help and state that the controller is blank; do not attempt repeated resets.

Letters or numbers on the controller?

Copy the display before choosing support

If even part of a code remains visible, enter the exact characters with the brand or model. If the screen is entirely blank, skip guessing and use the support routes below.
